Work With Me
Dr Daisy Walton-Ellis portrait

You were a good listener, good at summarising and getting to the heart of the matter without judging me. You were empathetic and reassured me that my thoughts and feelings were normal.

The compassion therapy was helpful in just allowing myself not to be perfect all the time.

Having been with at least 3 different therapists previously, I felt like this was the first time where we managed to identify the key issues and work on those.

Non-judgmental, very understanding, you expressed a lot of empathy about my situation and that what I was going through was hard. I felt like I could believe you when you said this.

The EMDR was really helpful in identifying some of the old historical issues that still permeated my life.

Right from the outset you created an atmosphere of non-judgment and compassion as I explained the challenges that I was facing.

Everything was great, it was friendly, warm, kind, collaborative. You were good at reading between the lines which meant I didn't need to offer a modified narrative anymore. I was more honest and open.

I am a Highly Specialised HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist. I qualified in 2019 and have been working in various mental health settings since 2012. I have a warm, collaborative and transparent therapeutic style which has allowed me to work effectively with all sorts of psychological difficulties, and with people who may feel nervous or ashamed at the prospect of talking about their problems with another person.

I offer evidenced based psychological therapy, sessions are face to face in Central London or can be delivered online. I have a particular specialism and training in working with people who have experienced traumatic and/or difficult life events, and who may be having trouble managing their emotions, problems in relationships, low self-esteem, and shame.

I also offer expert witness services to the family and criminal court, and diagnostic assessments for autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Alongside my independent practice, I work as a senior clinical psychologist within the NHS. I have many years’ experience working in specialist services for people experiencing complex and severe mental health difficulties including depression, anxiety disorders, trauma, and personality disorders. My current role is within a cardiovascular rehabilitation team, working with people experiencing psychological difficulties due to having experienced a cardiac event such as a heart attack.
